Five Ways Railway Station can be found on Islington Row in Edgbaston.

Five Ways Station is an intermediary stop on the Cross-City Line which runs from Redditch to Lichfield via Birmingham New Steet.

The station has two platforms:
Platform 1 - trains to Birmingham
Platform 2 - trains to Redditch

The Station has the following facilities:
Ticket Office which is open at the following times:
Weekdays 07:00 - 20:00
Saturday 08:00 - 19:00
Sunday 10:00 - 16:00

At the above times staff are aviable to help

Telephones (coin & card) - Booking Hall

Accessibility:
Step -free access to the whole station (level access to Booking Hall, Lift down to footbridge level and platform 2, short ramp outside lift. Second lift from footbridge level to platform 1 or 30 steps from footbridge level to platform 1 (trains to Birmingham) and 31 steps down to platform 2 (trains to Redditch).

"Five Ways train station is located just one stop away from Birmingham New Street, first built in 1885 the station was later closed and reopened in 1978. The station sits close to several large attractions in Birmingham including Birmingham Botanical Garden and Edgbaston cricket ground. With two platforms, the station offers daily routes to Lichfield and Redditch. Facilities available at Five Ways include a ticket office open Monday to Sunday, ticket machines, departure screens, arrival screens, and lifts are available to both platforms. Access to the station is via Islington Row.

From Five Ways station you can head to the town of Redditch, Worcestershire the fastest journey time will take 36 minutes. Heading in the opposite direction you can reach Lichfield Trent Valley this is a direct route no changes are needed, however, stops along this line include Aston, Four Oaks, and Sutton Coldfield. Getting into Birmingham city centre is an easy journey from Five Ways, trains arrive every 10 minutes and the journey time takes 4 minutes." (visit link)
