This is the only existing two-and-one-half-sto.ry plank house in Goshen. There is one 4 other unusual feature in that the three-inch planks are placed horizontally instead of vertically. The Powers House ( Site #1). is the only other of the group with this con- struction. In addition, the house, constructed c. 1835, is visually dominant in the Mill Village area.
