The Quast family has lived and worked at the Puurten-Quast farm in Nincoper Str. 45 since 1720. Jacob Quast acquired the farm around 1720 from the heirs of Johann Hinrich von Finckh, the master/provost. The farmhouse burned down in 1777, as it has been handed down and written in the transversal beam of the gable. It was rebuilt by the guardians of the owner Hinrich Quast, who was not yet of age at the time. It is built on a ford and thus protected from floods.
On the cultivated area mainly apples are harvested.
