The wooden beam, continuous span bridge, is unusual from the ones I have seen, in that it has a small rise up to the middle span from the two 'approach' spans. It crosses Burringbar Creek while it is quite insignificant, and rather overgrown. Large longitudinal hardwood logs support hardwood lateral beams, that the bridge surface planks are then bolted to. There are only 10cm high wooden boards for the edges of the Plank Bridge to try and guide a vehicle from careering off the edge. Though it would only be a matter of TWO metres (possibly) before heading the undergrowth.
