Stemwinder Campground is a rather small campground with only 27 campsites. All campsites can be accessed by car, it is dog friendly and must be kept on a leash, and it is wheelchair accessible. The campsites are nicely spaced apart many near the river and all are shaded. This is a lovely location with lots of pine trees and easy access to the Similkameen River. Stemwinder Provincial Park was established in 1956. On their sign there is a warning about poison ivy along the riverbank.
There are RV, camper and tent sites with a picnic table and fire ring. Bathrooms are located in several locations. Water is available at the hand pump near the informational signs as you enter the park.
The Similkameen River is a favorite spot for anglers, it does have a rocky shoreline, however is accessible from the campground.
