Moncreiffe Hill is wooded hill three miles to the south-east of the city of Perth. It is a long ridge stretching for nearly three miles between the river Tay to the north, and River Earn to the south. Due to its strategic position, it was the site of two ancient forts on its summits.
Now a popular walking area, the Woodland Trust have laid out many trails over and around the hill. The Tay Car Park is situated on a minor road on the hill's north flank, and this sign with map stands to the south at the beginning of the path up the hill.
Apart from the routes laid out on the map, the sign also gives information on what to look out for amounts the woodlands of the hill.
