Mr. Higham predeceased his wife by nearly 18 years, and a large gray granite vault anchors the family plot, with his name, "Joseph William Higham" and "Apr. 23, 1858 - Apr. 30, 1907". The family name,"Higham", is on the plinth, and the family initial is at the top, complemented by flourishes, but there is nothing to suggest membership in the Woodmen of the World.

However, the footstone is interesting, in that it has "Father" at the top, along with the emblems of both organizations and "Here rests a Woodman of the World Joseph Wm Higham". Mrs. Higham doesn't have the same type of footstone, as hers is flat and it reads:

Mother
Margaret
Higham

Feb. 19, 1866
Feb. 6, 1925
