The Canadian Red Cross at 100 Mile House was actively involved and assisted residents during the major wildfire in 2017. One of B.C. largest wildfires started just west of 100 Mile House.

The Canadian Red Cross at 100 Mile House has an equipment loan program and offers set up of equipment. They offer information and classes about disaster preparedness and evacuation procedures during wildfires and other emergencies to local residents. They are actively involved with the FireSmart Canada program that helps residents prepare their outdoor space for wildfires and to create a non-combustible zone around their homes and businesses.

Other classes offered are Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR and a babysitting course.

Monday to Friday
10:00 am to 2:00 pm

They are located near down town in an office building unit shared with other small business.
