There are seven amateur baseball diamonds at the Georgetown Fairgrounds. They range in size; the larger diamonds also having high fencing, lighting, and bleachers.
It is unclear if all diamonds are named in honour of Scotty Patterson or if the designation is bestowed only on a single diamond. The plaque located beside Diamond #2 reads:
Scotty Patterson Memorial Diamond
Dedicated 1973 to the memory of JOHN (Scotty) PATTERSON
who for many years played an important role in all branches of sports in the Town of Georgetown.
