Pouce Coupe Community Church - In the early 2000s the church purchased the old village office building, made repairs and it now serves as their church. This church is an independent, self governing and non-denominational church.

Pouce Coupe Community Church is a small church that sits diagonally on this corner lot. It has redwood stain wood siding and there is a cross in the front of the church.

Standing in the front yard of the church, directly south of the building, is a wooden cross made of squared timbers, approximately 6" in thickness. The cross stands on a concrete pad, affixed to a flat steel base by steel brackets. When we visited in June the cross was wrapped in Christmas lights, which may well remain in place year round.

Pronounced: Pouce Coupee, which translate to "thumb cut", the village is named after a Beaver Indian called “Pooscapee.” This is a very interesting community that has one of the best museums we have visited. It is walking distance from the church, just around the corner next to the post office on 49th Avenue. It is in the old train depot.
