The Halle aux Vivres hosts an exhibition that traces the past of Brouage: salt trade, fortifications, daily life of the population in the seventeenth century, etc.
The first floor of the Halle aux Vivres houses the European Center for Military Architecture, open all year round on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm.
It is an exceptional exhibition and resource space in a 17th century building. You will discover the construction workshop of the relief plan in which the fortress is restored to its original state, when it was presented to the King of France.

La Halle aux Vivres héberge une exposition qui retrace le passé de Brouage : commerce du sel, fortifications, vie quotidienne de la population au XVII° siècle, etc.
Le premier étage de la Halle aux Vivres abrite le Centre Européen d'Architecture militaire, ouvert toute l'année les mardis, mercredis et jeudis de 9h30 à 13h et de 14h à 17h.
C'est un espace d'exposition et de ressources exceptionnel dans un bâtiment style 17ème siècle. Vous y découvrirez l'atelier de construction du plan relief dans lequel la place forte est restituée dans son état originel, lorsqu'elle fut présentée au Roi de France.
