Former military detention centre in the Petersberg citadel in Erfurt.
The prison was built between 1913 and 1914 as a military detention centre. From 1920 it served as a police prison and in 1939 as a remand prison for war criminals.
In 1965 the reconstruction for civil purposes began and today the building serves as office space.
