[FR]Le bar restaurant du Plan de l’Aiguille a été créée en 1955, en même temps que l’actuel téléphérique de l’Aiguille du Midi. Tout d’abord exploitée par la famille Duc, elle est maintenant gérée par la famille Devouassoux depuis près de 30 ans.
Au début, c’était simplement un petit mazot qui vendait des boissons et sandwichs aux randonneurs de passage. Aujourd’hui Le bar restaurant est un passage obligatoire pour les alpinistes qui partent à l’ascension du Mont Blanc au printemps (via le refuge des Grands Mulets) ou qui vont grimper vers l’arrête des Papillons, ainsi qu’aux randonneurs qui se promènent vers le Montenvers, et enfin au promeneurs qui découvrent le Lac Bleu ou simplement qui profite de la vue depuis la terrasse.
[EN]The bar restaurant Plan de l'Aiguille was created in 1955, at the same time as the current cable car Aiguille du Midi. First exploited by the Duc family, it is now managed by the Devouassoux family for almost 30 years.
At first, it was just a little mazot that sold drinks and sandwiches to visiting hikers. Today The bar restaurant is a mandatory passage for mountaineers who go to climb the Mont Blanc in spring (via the refuge of Grands Mulets) or who will climb to stop Butterflies, as well as hikers who go walk to the Montenvers, and finally to the walkers who discover the Blue Lake or simply who enjoys the view from the terrace.
