Though the roadside attraction is called Construction Worker it is actually a Worker's Memorial honoring those workers who were killed or injured in the workplace.

It is a metal sculpture with one figure in the center. It is mounted on a steel beam platform that is placed in an attractive green space with flowerbeds. The scrap metal to create the sculpture was collected locally.

The Worker's Memorial figure is constructed from large link chain. There are flexible metal stripes shaped into an orb surrounding the figure. There is also fencing around the sculpture made with the same type of chain. Overall this is very well done. The War Memorial was commissioned by the Peace Liard Regional Arts Council to talented local artist Emilie Mattson in 2003.
