There is a trailhead for the Appalachian Trail on Michaux Road in Gardners, Pennsylvania with a small parking area and a kiosk. By heading south from this parking area and hiking about a mile, you will run into the 1985 midpoint marker for the trail. The walk is pretty rocky but is a fairly easy and level walk as long as you remember that you are hiking in Pennsylvania, which is, according to AT thru hikers, the place boots come to die.
