Wheal Coates could be described as the most picturesque, disused mine workings in Cornwall.
With the stunning view and well preserved structures. It is perhaps thanks to the National Trust who maintain this site/location that we and future generations get the benefit of realising all about our forefathers. To consider all of the hard work they did for " a crust of bread"..
To work a mine such as this, working in all weathers and digging mine shaft deep into the earth, following the veins of ore, even well out under the sea. Then to process the ore to get the refined minerals certainly paints a picture in my mind, amazing.
The address of property, including Postcode.: Wheal Coates
Between Porth Chapel and St Agnes

The charges to visitors and opening hours.: There is National Trust parking close by where there is a charge, however the location is on the South West Coast path so access can be achieved from other directions where parking would be optional.
