100 Mile House Community Garden encourages learning all about gardening. They provide programs that develop skills about planting, transplanting, spacing, maintenance and composting.
There is a $20.00 fee for the season, with a $10 refundable deposit after the plot is cleaned up in the fall.
Though it was still early in the season work and planting was in progress. At tool shed with gardening implements and hoses are for use by the gardeners. Also on site is a compost bin and gardeners are encouraged to compost their organic garden waste.
The 100 Mile House Community Garden is fairly large considering the size of the community of approximately 1,900 residents. There are several large planting boxes with room for expansion.
