On Cooke County road 327, a couple miles southeast of Myra, TX, is the abandoned 140-foot, umber-colored steel Pratt through-truss bridge spanning the Brushy Elm Creek (Elm Fork of Trinity River).

The trees are growing through the formerly used bridge. A new concrete bridge just a few feet away serves traffic, now.

A 1902 USGS map shows a bridge over the creek. There are two extant pilings that appear to predate this through-truss bridge on the NE bank, opposite the present bridge.
