Grizzly Tank
The Grizzly was the Canadian version of the American M4A1 Sherman tank.
Montreal Locomotive Works made 188 Grizzlies, modifying the American design to meet Canadian requirements, including different tracks. Grizzly production stopped because American factories had increased their output to the point that they could supply Shermans to all Allied armies. Canada used Grizzlies for training during and after the Second World War. This example is one of a number later sold to Portugal, which used Grizzlies from the 1950's to the 1970's.
