M29C Water Weasel
Canadian soldiers used this light , amphibious vehicle during the Second World War in Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany.
The original version of the Weasel was developed for the Canadian-American First Special Service Force for an assault on Norway. Although this operation was cancelled, the Weasel proved useful elsewhere, tackling snowy, muddy and rough terrain The M29C Water Weasel was modified for amphibious operations by welding flotation tanks to the front and rear of the hull. It remained in service with the Canadian army until the 1950's.
