Staghound Armoured Car
Canadian used the heavy, American made Staghound armoured car in Italy and Northern Europe.
Staghounds were often used to scout in front of Canadian lines, and also escorted vehicle convoys and protected headquarters. Staghound crews appreciated that their vehicle had thicker armour and more powerful armament than other cars like the Otter and Fox. After the war, Staghounds remained in use with Canadian reserve forces until the 1950's. This particular vehicle was used by Australia during and after the Second World War.
