Although this site has seen action in that it was a forward command airfield and then a weapons testing facility. It has always had early warning Radar. All of which has been modernised as technology evolved.

The present radar is a Type 101 now housed beneath a Kevlar radome for added protection against the weather.
It is of course operational and therefore information is not readily available.
