South west coast path - Near Portreath Cornwall UK - Outdoor Stairways on Waymarking.com

There are some sections which ascend and descend, from the cliff top to sea level. This could be in excess of 100 feet , some even more.
Where practical the coast path follows the easiest route. Sometime zig zaging or even steps.
The particular set is between the Cornish Towns of Portreath and Pothtowen.
I counted some 115 steps.on one side alone.
The riser are constructed of either granite or wood with steel rods to keep them in place. the treads are cut into the hillside.
Due to the make up of the cliff hill the tread and risers vary and not consistant making the route up or down broken.
Visitors be warned, Care should always be taken near any cliff edge, slips trips or falls.
