Wendy Stewart
In her capacity as the Regional and then City Councillor for River Ward, Wendy was a strong advocate for environmental protection in the Rideau River watershed.
In addition to her work as a City of Ottawa representative to the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, Wendy chaired the Volunteer Advisory Committee for the Sawmill Creek Watershed Study and promoted the constructed wetland as a way to deal with stormwater management issues for the tributary.

Wendy Stewart
À titre de conseillère régionale et, ensuite, de conseillère municipale du quartier Rivière, Mme Stewart a plaidé avec vigueur en faveur de la protection environnementale du bassin hydrographique de la rivière Rideau.
En plus de représenter la ville d’Ottawa auprès de l’office de protection de la nature, Mme Stewart a présidé le comité consultatif bénévole sur le projet de bassin hydrographique du ruisseau Sawmill et a recommandé la création du marais artificiel comme moyen de régler les problèmes de gestion des eaux pluviales associées à son affluent.
