The church of St. Digain is unusual in that it is of a cruciform shape not seen in other churches in this part of Wales.
The oldest part of the church is believe to date from the 13th Century with the church being added to and growing over time. The last renovation was in the late Victorian era.
There are two standing stones in the cemetery with early Medieval crosses carved on to them.
Also in the cemetery is the Llangernyw yew tree, which is believed to be oldest tree in Wales and possibly in Europe and one of the oldest living things in the world.
The bell appears to have no inscriptions or markings and appears to be in good condition.
