The Talbot is a traditional pub recently refurbished by new management in 2018. It is located just a short walk from the station in Stone.

"The Talbot is an absolutely fantastic bar situated on Station Road in Stone. Due to its recent refurbishment this traditional bar has a fresh new feel to it but it still manages to keep its original traditional features. This spacious pub boasts a poolroom, restaurant and a lovely bar for its customers to relax in. With a second to none menu that really has something for everybody and a specials menu this is the perfect place to spend some time relaxing! Weekends are late and lively with fantastic acts playing on Saturday nights from 9.30pm, and Sundays quiz night is the perfect way to wind up your weekend! They serve a full selection of draught beers, wines and spirits for your enjoyment and a lovely range of soft drinks for non-drinkers, drivers and of course children! With full disabled access this pub is easily accessible to all. The stunning beer garden provides you with the perfect setting for those summer afternoons and the new smoking area is both sheltered and heated to keep all customers happy." Source: (visit link)

"An old-fashioned pub just a few yards down from Stone station, and around 200m from the Trent & Mersey Canal. Two rooms at the front, one of which is dedicated to pool, the other being a comfy bar with a coal fire. To the rear is a large lounge with a darts board. TV screens in every room, largely dedicated to BT and Sky sport. Live music Sat nights, open-mike nights every fourth Sunday and a themed disco third Sunday in the month. For the future there are big plans for the pub including another three handpulls. There will always be a local beer and at least one micro brewery beer; aso there'll be “Talbot Ale” (brewed by Marstons). Bar snacks, Sunday roasts and popup themed food nights are available."
