The parish of Kettle in the Kingdom of Fife is made up of the villages of Kettlebridge and Kingskettle, both virtually joined together by the street of Rumdewan that links them.

Just on the Kettlebridge side is a wall box embossed with V & R with a crown between on the top of the box. The box is still operational although with some signs of wear and tear.

Tell us about the area the post box is situated.:
Rumdewan is the road that links Kettlebridge with Kingskettle. It is mainly a residential street that runs in a north-easterly direction towards Kingskettle. The box can be found on the left hand-side of the road heading in this direction which is the only side of the road that is lined by houses. A large hedge runs on the opposite side with an open field beyond.
