To really explore the RivierPark Maasvallei across borders, you can use the bicycle and foot springs during a bike ride or a long walk. A trip with one of the charming ferries to the other side of the Maas will immediately put you in a holiday mood. This way you can make nice connections between the various Maas villages and nature reserves.
There are four ferries in the Maas Valley River Park: one large ferry that is also accessible for car traffic and three bicycle and foot springs. The latter will start again from 6 April.
The Maas is a whimsical rain river, which means that the water level in the river changes regularly. At high and low water (drought) the ferries sometimes cannot sail. Annoying for your bike ride, but great natural phenomena to see in the RivierPark. We try as much as possible to announce the latest state of affairs on our Facebook page RivierPark Maasvallei.
