The Eagle Point Eagle Scout project site of Centennial Park in North Smithfield, Rhode Island is easily accessible at the southwest end of the North Smithfield Public Library parking lot near the Post Office. At the west end of a short trail just north of Upper Slatersville Reservoir, the area is marked by a permanently installed metal sign mounted to two wood posts. The white sign with green lettering reads:
WELCOME TO
"EAGLE POINT"
HOME OF PAST AND FUTURE EAGLE SCOUT PROJECTS
TROOP 1139 SLATERSVILLE
A newspaper article details the work of Eagle Scout Alex Helm to make repairs and improvements to the park:
NORTH SMITHFIELD – Alex Helm, a Boy Scout from Troop 1139 Slatersville has been awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.
Helm’s project to complete the rank was the rehabilitation of Eagle Point behind the North Smithfield Public Library. He repaired a bridge and added a ramp for access, repaired and added picnic tables, and cleared brush and debris from the trails...

A second, taller signboard is mounted between two square posts to the right of the Eagle Project sign. Constructed of light brown PVC boards, it is topped by an engraved "Centennial Park" sign with the letters painted black. A locking, plexiglass-fronted door with hinges at its bottom edge protects a black bulletin board. Park rules, a no swimming warning, and reminder to take trash with you are tacked to the board. It lists the open hours as "Dawn to Dusk."
