This stone monument, north of Big Lake Park, honors the expedition of Lewis & Clark in 1804 and their historic meeting with the Otoe and Missouri Indians.

Iowa Project #426 and #531. Artists were Harry Edward Stinson and Grant Wood. Two curved bas relief panels on a bluff with a beautiful overlook of Missouri River (which was flooding the year we were there).
