" Santana Row has opened its first public plaza in years, an open space next to its newest office building in the iconic mixed-use development in San Jose.

The retail, restaurant, entertainment, housing, office and hotel complex also has opened a new 1,300-space parking structure, which is at the southern end of the complex, said Federal Realty Investment Trust, the developer and principal owner of Santana Row.

“It’s now easier than ever to park at Santana Row, and the open public plaza adds yet another amenity for enjoying shopping, dining, working and living here,” said Jan Sweetnam, Federal Realty’s West Coast chief operating officer.

Santana Row patrons are able to enter the new Hatton Public Parking Garage at the corner of Hatton Street and Olsen Drive.

The new Hatton garage will offer 50 electric-vehicle parking spaces with chargers. Santana Row had already offered 84 charging stations, including 61 Tesla superchargers that are located in the Winchester Garage near the Tesla showroom at the north end of Santana Row.

Federal Realty said the new plaza totals 21,000 square feet. It’s located near offices that will be occupied by tech firm Splunk, which also is leasing a big chunk of space at nearby 500 Santana Row. The plaza also is near the CineArts movie theaters in the complex. The open area also features fountains and benches.

“This plaza at 700 Santana Row anchors the west end of The Row, with creative spaces for visitors, residents and workers to hang out, recharge or just enjoy an afternoon,” Sweetnam said." (visit link)
