ANWB Monument Plaque, with number 60606/001, reads:
"Flour mill De Sterrenberg
This mill is from 1786 to 1960 in the German town of Weener
(Ostfriesland) has been in operation. From 1975 to 1977 the mill was rebuilt in Nijeveen. The scaffolding mill has an octagonal substructure with buttresses. In the second attic, the grain is ground with the help of two pairs of millstones.
The automatic spice device on top of the mill. the so-called self-crucifixion, ensures that the blades are always on the wind.
This flour mill was opened by HRH Prince Claus on 11 August 1977."
