Blowing House Toll House, re-built (1843-1864) in its present position when the valley was filled and an embankment was built. The road at the that time went down into the valley and continued up along a similar route as of today.

The toll house was originally at a lower level, but was rebuilt at its current position when the embankment was filled in to make a more level road.
This is a Grade 2 listed building
The building is now a private domestic dwelling.
