The shot tower was built in 1908 by Bleigießerei und Maschinenfabrik Juhl & Söhne as part of an expansion of their factory. It stands 38 metres tall, extending above the roofs of the surrounding buildings by 18 metres. Shot production stopped in 1939, and the tower was later renovated from 1998 to 2000. The tower can now be visited on guided tours.
