Crawford Priory is situated south of the Fife village of Springfield, just over two miles south-west of the town of Cupar. Not actually built as a priory, but as a country house for the Earls of Crawford, it now lies in a dilapidated state.
In the grounds to the south in Bogle Wood is a sundial dated from 1873 which is largely intact but with some damage to it. It is of gothic-style in ashlar, supported on a squat central column with three twisted colonettes (one missing). A vertical sundial lies on all four faces with above, elaborate decoration and gabled pinnacles. It all sits above a stepped octagonal base.
The sundial can be found in the centre of a triangular patch of grass in the woodland where three roads converge. It can be reached via a tarmac road from the A914 to the south, or from a rutted track from Clushford Toll to the east.
