This peace pole was erected by The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) on Crown meadow between the Trent and Mersey Canal and the River Trent.

PREVAIL ON EARTH

The pole reminds us how peace with justice applies to all lives in all places. The pole is placed by by The Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) and is sited with the full cooperation of Stone Town Council.
The meadow is a flood plain of the river Trent that in the past was used for grazing stage coach horses and by a nearby brewery.
It is now owned by Stone council and managed as a nature reserve.
