Located on the highest hill in the area at 1519.70 metres. Access can be made through the Blue Hills Escape Resort. The road to the resort is dirt from the N9 turnoff outside Uniondale but is OK for sedan vehicles. There is no marked trail to the summit but the owner at the resort is very helpful. The climb is not long but quite hard ( stones and vegetation ). Allow 4 hours there and back.
There is a geocache at the summit ( GC2JG2C ).
The beacon is in good condition.
Visit Instructions:We don't require you to provide any specific proof of your visit, but we do request that you upload photos if possible, the more the merrier.
Ideally, you should try to take photos at the actual beacon location, but if that isn't possible (private property, terrain, etc), then photos taken from a distance are also welcome, especially if the beacon is visible in the photo.
