"WNEP-TV, virtual channel 16, is a television station licensed to Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States, serving as the ABC affiliate for the Scranton–Wilkes-Barre television market. Owned by Dreamcatcher Broadcasting, LLC, the station is operated under a shared services agreement by the Tribune Broadcasting subsidiary of the Tribune Media Company. WNEP-TV's studios are located on Montage Mountain Road in Moosic, and it shares transmitter facilities with PBS member WVIA-TV at the Penobscot Knob antenna farm near Mountain Top."

The station traces its history to 1957, with merger of two previous stations - WILK TV and WARM-TV, maintaining WARM's channel 16.

The station maintains Virtual Channel 16, as all analog broadcasting ceased in 2009.
