[EN] "The trail begins at the car park at the healing spring "Sauerbrunnen" on the L 83 in the Nettetal valley. An access road leads to the starting point at the healing spring "Sauerbrunnen". Rustic wooden steps and a soft forest path open up the first view into the Nettetal valley and lead on to Volkesfeld.
There the ascent to the impressive and widely visible Riethelkreuz begins with a fabulous panoramic view - embedded in spicy juniper heath. The path comfortably follows the ridge and passes the nearby development area in a wide arc on meadow paths leading around the village. After a short forest passage and open meadows, another magnificent panorama opens up at the crossing of the K 63. Leaving Volkesfeld behind, the path leads over a soft dirt road to a resting place.
Soon a narrow path climbs the hill of the Waberner Heide and presents unspoilt junipers, glowing broom and gnarled pines. With the best view in almost all directions, the Waberner Wacholderhütte invites you to linger. Further through the heath, the path leads into the forest to the rocky spur of Falkley with a unique view of the deep Nettetal valley. On the following forest and meadow passages, wild camera sheep can be observed with a little luck.
A short detour (500 m in total) leads to Noorkopf with a 270° view. On the way back it leads downhill to the Florianshütte with a beautiful view of the Nettetal. In the forest it goes in wide loops down into the valley. At the end of the tour, the ferruginous water of the healing spring "Sauerbrunnen" invites you for a healthy refreshment before the trail ends at the hiking car park.
