This park was heavily damaged by an F5 tornado in 2013, which left little of the park behind. The City of Moore rebuilt and further improved the park with a play area, hiking trails, and fishing ponds. This set of three sculptures, entitled "The Spirit of Moore," commemorates the courage and tenacity of a city that has three times in the last twenty years suffered F4 and F5 tornado damage. A nearby plaque reads, in part, that Moore is a community that is "always dreaming, always planning, and always building."
One statue shows a little girl - The Dreamer - with a bird resting on her outstretched arm.
Another - The Planners - depicts a boy and a girl seated on a bench viewing a map of Moore.
The last shows a boy with a shovel and rolled up plans - The Builder - ready to work after the tornado damage.
