The sensory garden has been designed to stimulate the senses, smell, touch, sound and sight. The plot has been divided up with gravel paths and raised beds. The plants provide a tactile and auditory experience and have been chosen for their colour and visual impact and have varied and contrasting shapes and texture e.g lavender and rosemary stimulate the sense of smell and a variety of herbs when touched release their aromas.

A information plaque reads as follows;
'Brampton Park Sensory Garden
This garden has been designed and planted to provide an area for everyone to experience the textures, aromas, colours and sounds that can be present in the environment.

A quiz and fact sheet can be collected (free of charge) from the Museum Reception.

The sensory garden has been sponsored by Pinkstones Toyota in memory of Matthew Pinkstone.
