"Berry Brothers and Rudd is the oldest wine and spirits retailer in the UK and began business at the end of the 17th century with the creation of the boutique at 3 St. James's Street in London in 1698. Originally, this shop created by the widow Bourne was called "The Coffee Mill." The shop is still in the same place.The company is supplier of the royal family since the reign of King George III and famous personalities like Lord Byron , William Pitt or the Aga Khan.
Berry Bros. sell wine to the whole planet (including wines from Bordeaux or Burgundy en primeur). They also sell a number of wines and spirits under their own label, "Berry's Own Selection".
They own their own brand of blend, the Cutty Sark they created in 1923 and created the Glenrothes Distillery's single malt vintage line.
Berry Bros. & Rudd were one of the first wine merchants to set up an online sales site in 1994. They established two branches in Dublin and Hong Kong. "
