Das Denkmal für die 1914/1918 gefallen oder vermissten Soldaten befindet sich auf dem alten Gottesacker in 88239 Wangen.
Alte Bäume und Blumenrabatten machen den Gottesacker heute zu einem idyllischen kleinen Park nur wenige Schritte vom Lindauer Tor oder Martinstor entfernt.
Betritt man den alten Gottesacker durch den Eingang neben der Rochuskapelle so sieht man direkt auf das Denkmal für die gefallenen oder vermissten Soldaten des 1. Weltkrieges an der gegenüberliegende Friedhofsmauer.
Die Darstellung wird beherrscht durch ein Relief das den gekreuzigten Jesus zeigt vor welchem ein demütiger Soldaten kniet.
Links und rechts sind Metallplatten mit Namen der gefallen und vermissten Wangener angebracht. Halter für Kränze die sich unterhalb der Metallplatten befinden vervollständigen das mittlere Ensemble des Denkmals.
Das ganze Ehrenmal wird vervollständigt durch zwei von Säulen getragenen Dächern unter denen sich weiter Tafeln mit Namen von gefallenen oder vermissten Soldaten.

The monument to the 1914/1918 fallen or missing soldier is located on the old Gottesacker in 88239 Wangen.
Old trees and flower borders make the Gottesacker today an idyllic little park just a few steps away from the Lindauer Tor or Martinstor.
Entering the old Gottesacker through the entrance next to the Rochuskapelle you can see directly on the monument to the fallen or missing soldiers of World War I at the opposite cemetery wall.
The representation is dominated by a relief showing the crucified Jesus in front of which kneels a humble soldier.
On the left and right are metal plates with the name of the fallen and missing cheeks attached. Holders for wreaths below the metal plates complete the middle ensemble of the monument.
The entire memorial is completed by two pillars supported by columns, below which are further panels with names of fallen or missing soldiers.
