A plaque gives a little bit more information. It reads:
"The upgrades to Lions Harbour Park and the east entrance feature celebrating Canada's 150th and the 100th Anniversary of Lions International and the 95th Anniversary of the Local Lions Club was completed in June 2017 with investments by the Government of Canada, the Town of Goderich and the Goderich Lions Club."
The script is also written in French.
A second plaque also notes the members of the 1974 Lions Club Executive who were part of the original project to build the bandshell.
