The Red Cross in San Bartolomé de Tirajana was founded in 1973 and the main focus in this tourist region has been beach rescue from the beginning. Hundreds of lives have been saved over the years. In recent years, the theme of immigrants has increasingly come into focus.
This permanent beach rescue station, bathing season is all year round, consists of the main building and an adjacent rescue tower.
