Information Centre
Merriwa is a friendly rural town nestled in the Upper Hunter. The town is situated on the Golden Highway, and is the ideal place for a stopover, with the Information Centre in a quiet side-street. The Information Centre also serves as a 'Bottle Museum'. Unfortunately I was on my way to Lightning Ridge for a CITO Event later that day, and still had a LONG way to go, and was too early to be able to check out the services of the Centre or the Museum. The 'Merriwa Tourist Information Centre' and 'Historic Bottle Museum' was opened on 16th December, 1987 [by the plaque to the right of the entrance.]
