Constructed of galvanized square stock, the frame of this station is dull gray. The words "WAYLAND SQUARE" in an Art Deco font appear four times -- each spanning the two vertical members of an airy pillar -- and cut from the same metal material. The sitting area is a continuous sheet of pliable perforated sheet metal and tubular square stock. Translucent corrugated panels cover the roof.
This location is along the mainly north-south course between Kennedy Plaza in downtown Providence and Shaws Market in the Riverside neighborhood of East Providence.
