"Italian Renaissance-type library building, stucco, l-story, hip roof of red tile, arched doorway with decorative stone trim and arched windows.

Architecturally significant because of its unusual style for this area. Built by the people of the Heights in conjunction with the Houston Public Library. Focus for neighborhood in 1920s and 1950s. Recently restored very well."
