Long Description:
A small rectangular green space in downtown Omak, the park is the site of various community functions and events through the year, including the local farmers' market and Art in the Park. The Farmer's Market is held every Tuesday beginning mid June, running through October. Given that the park holds a bandstand, we assume that the odd concert takes place here, too. In the past the bandshell has been used for theater, music and dance performances, as well as community movie nights. The inside walls of the bandshell have been painted with a mural depicting a summer festival in the park - a Community Picnic and other events held during a July 4th celebration.

North of the bandshell is the Children's playground, with a teeter totter, swings and a jungle gym. The jungle gym has two slides, stairs, and a few other attachments. The jungle gym is on pea gravel, while the teeter totter and the swings are on native dirt. Nearby are benches, tables and the park's restrooms.

Civic League Park is Omak's oldest park, a traditional green square, originally developed by early pioneers on land they acquired and donated to the City. The park is located in the central Business District and occupies approximately 1.5 acres. The park features a band shell, restroom facilities and playground equipment. It resides next to the Public Library and is home to several community functions such as Art in the park and the Farmer's Market.

Omak Park and Recreation
The City of Omak owns and maintains approximately one hundred and five acres of park and recreation property with another 220 acres of undeveloped open space. Omak's park lands include several small green spaces that are under a half-acre in size. Although these "green spaces" have limited potential for development, they play an important role in the overall park system by providing aesthetic and enjoyment to residents and visitors. The rest of Omak's parks form a vital core of recreation opportunities in the area.

Park Reservations
You can reserve a City park, picnic shelter or green space for your event. The park use is free to families and non-profit organizations. We encourage you to make a reservation to ensure the area is available. If you are hosting an event open to the public, there are additional requirements that must be met.
