That doesn't mean that the DOCFD has 40 stations; this is, numerically at least, the second, the others being numbers 10, 30 and 40. On
their website Fire District 15 has gotten the wrong fire hall on the page for Station 20. The station on the page is actually the
City of Brewster Fire & Rescue station, at the listed address, 108 South 3rd Street. This station, Station 20, is at 412 West Indian Avenue in Brewster.
This station currently houses about 5 of the nineteen firefighting vehicles in the department's fleet and, we expect, at least one ambulance. While the other stations in Brewster and nearby Pateros had apparatus parked outside the building, at this station the only vehicles which didn't fit inside were a couple of EMS vehicles parked alongside. None of these are ambulances, just support vehicles.
DOCFD 15 FIRE
Douglas Okanogan Fire District 15 responds to an average of 150 calls per year out of four stations.
The District has a full time chief and a dedicated group of volunteers at all four stations.
Each station has their own command staff, including chief, asst. chief captain and lt.
Fire District 15 currently has a fleet of 4 structural engines, 6 type 6 brush trucks, 3 type 3 brush trucks, 2 rescues and 4 water tenders.
We respond to a variety of calls including structural, wildland, vehicle accidents, rescues, etc.
